Founded by Professor Kefah Mokbel, the London Breast Institute is the first and only academic breast centre within the independent health sector in the United Kingdom. Over the past two decades, the Institute has led more than 200 peer-reviewed publications spanning basic science, the molecular evolution of mammary carcinogenesis, early detection strategies, precision surgical techniques, and cutting-edge therapeutic interventions - all with a strong focus on risk-adapted treatment optimisation.

Our multidisciplinary team of internationally recognised experts has provided evidence-based, personalised care to thousands of patients, significantly improving survival and quality of life. Through international academic collaborations and a prestigious clinical fellowship program, the Institute continues to play a central role in advancing global standards of breast cancer treatment.

The Institute has also contributed to understanding the role of environmental factors - such as air pollution - in the etiology of breast cancer, helping to shape public health discourse. Through national media campaigns and advocacy, we have actively promoted breast cancer awareness and increased participation in screening programs.

With the opening of our new, state-of-the-art premises at 27–29 Harley Street and an expansion to offer our leading services in Birmingham, the London Breast Institute remains committed to delivering exceptional care and driving forward innovation in breast cancer research and treatment.
